  • Snow Sculpture Contest - Contact Anita at the Town Hall by noon Thursday, February 17th for judging or email your picture to
  • Pirate’s Treasure Hunt - Join in the fun and see what you can do to solve clues. Winner awarded a gift certificate for Philip’s Café! Information sheets can be picked up at Philip’s Café
  • Photo Scavenger Hunt - Forms are available at the Town Hall or on the Town’s website Deadline for submission is noon Thursday, Feb. 17th.

Family Resource Centre - 9:30 - 11:30AM 0-2 years old 1:00 - 3:00 3-6 years old Multicultural Day - Come learn about our diverse cultures!

Lunchtime Fit Kids Challenge - Obstacle course challenge for students at St. Anne’s Academy

Laval Curling - 12-1PM - Curling at Unity PARC for Laval Students (Sponsored by the Placentia Curling Club) Bobsleigh Lunchtime!

Free Skate - 1-2PM Community Free Skate at Unity PARC (Sponsored by the College of the North Atlanc) Bring along a nonperishable food item for the local food bank.

St. Anne’s Floor Hockey - 3:00PM

Movie - 3:00- 5:00PM P4 Youth Centre. Popcorn & drink will be served.

Carnival Opening Round Da Bay Style

Mummers’ Parade - Beginning 5PM at the College of the North Atlantic, Mummers will parade to the Lions Manor and on to the Town Square. Family Resource Centre & St. Anne’s Students will also be carrying flags of the nations. Dress up in your finest mummer gear just for the fun of it! Prize for the best rig up! Bring a flashlight! Hot dogs & hot chocolate (sponsored by the Family Resources Centre) will be served in the Square

Community Indoor Walk - 7-8PM Indoor walk at the Laval Gymnasium. Partcipants must bring along indoor footwear.

Laval Valentine’s Dance - 8-11PM

The Winter Carnival for 2011 is scheduled for February 17th, 18th, 19, 20th. It will be a four day event to begin on Thursday and end on Sunday. Many ideas have been brought forth for this event. If you have any ideas you would like to see, please contact the Festival of Flags @ 227-3378, or call the town office.
