As part of the Placentia 350th Anniversary celebrations, come to enjoy “Discover Placentia,” an event that welcomes authors or speakers for a reading and/or discussion.

Hosted by the Placentia Area Historical Society, as well as by Placenta 350, Inc., the second event welcomes Marina Gambin, the author of "A Meadow in June: Stories of Branch" and a regular contributor to The Charter writing the “Where the Foghorns Wail” column.

Come enjoy an evening with Marina who will speak on how growing up in Branch has influenced her writing. She will delight listeners by reading selections from her writing that have not yet been presented in the past. As well, Marina will read some pieces that reveal the “cloak and dagger” side of her writing! And finally, she will share some of her poetry with the audience.

  • Location: Freshwater Community Centre
  • Day: 27 September, 2012
  • Time: 7pm

Tea, coffee, juice and sweets will be served. Free admission.
